I didn't understand the meaning of the word ''table'' in this sentence.

I'm not a fan of testing people on grammar. You need brief explanations, tables and lot of examples.

I tried to figure out the meaning but I couldn't understand it. Could Anyone help me ?

table, as

"an arrangement of words, numbers, or signs, usually in parallel columns, to display data or relations"

not as "piece of furniture"

Hi Igor. Vincenzo is correct about the use of "table" in your sentence. The furniture called "table" can hold a lot of items - you can put a lot of different things on it. Similarly,  a "table" for the purposes of data collection, is a way of organizing a lot of written information, such as words or numbers.
