A mate of mine is a native speaker and is not on italki because they got this bright idea to permit signing up here with facebook accounts, only. As he does not have facebook, he is unable to sign up here himself. So, I am posting this on his behalf;

I disagree with you... I do login with my email and a password, not with Facebook. Indeed, I never do login in any plattform, using Facebook. I think your friend
He simply must choose the option "sign up" on the home page, and fill the fields "Full name", "E-mail" and "Password". It works perfectly.

Even I tried to test it, and I keep getting this 'facebook' only option, whilst making an attempt to register. When exactly did you register? I am being told that this is a change which was made not too long ago. Before, I guess you'd register with email but not anymore?
