Is there anything wrong with the following sentence?
It’s a practice that some movies struggle to do, with many either getting too enthusiastic about showing their big plot points, and others simply not catching the magic of the movie.

The only problem is that we never say to "do a practice." We might (if appropriate) be able to use "emulate," or simply rewrite the sentence.
