Do you read books written in the language you are learning?
If so, do you look up every word you don't know in a dictionary?
Or do you think it's better not to look up every single word as long as you are able to comprehend the text?
I do a bit of both. Sometimes I can figure out what is being said from the context; I don't worry about it in those cases. When I don't understand the word at all, I will look it up, then add it to my vocabulary list to go over later. I use a "flash card" style web application to help me review my vocabulary. It is called Memrise. That is the one I prefer, but there many others.
Right now I am reading El Restaurante Al Fin Del Mundo (The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe in Spanish). For language learning, I find it helpful to reread books that I am already familiar with from a long time ago because I already know what is happening in the book.

Most of the time the other part of the context give me an idea of what the new word means. Other times it's quite difficult to be sure what it means, or if I am totally right. I always write down the words that I didn't know and their meaning, and for the words that I'm not sure I look for the at translator.
