If there is anyone else out there learning Japanese that would be interested in sharing ideas or practicing along the way feel free to message me. I have found that due to the sheer time difference it is sometimes problematic to schedule up times with native Japanese speakers. I am on the east coast in USA so that puts Japan 14 hours ahead.

Hi! My name is Vickie and I am about a year into my Japanese Language studies. Looking to find people to practice speaking, grammar etcetera... I am better at writing than conversation. ....
