To all my italki friends
There are a lot of words in the English language, but there are not enough words to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who responded to Su.Ki.'s discussion related to my account's deactivation and in support of me.
Special thanks to Su.Ki.

I am deeply touched by your kind words.
I consider myself a very fortunate man to have so many nice people stand up for me.

Bless you all...

Today I received a message from Alan K. who received a message from italki
In that message, they said that they didn't know the reason for the deactivation.
They also said they would investigate to determine the cause.
I will insist that italki support actually does investigate the cause and I expect them to take actions to ensure that this won't happen again to any other italki member.

Below, you may see the email I received from italki support this morning:

Hi Richard,

Thanks for writing in about this.  We're not sure how you account was deactivated from posting in the Community.  In any event, I've gone ahead and reactivated it.

We're sorry about this confusion.  It could be one of our newer moderators who inadvertently flagged you.  In any event, this is why we have support to fix these things.

Hooray, there you are Richard the great :)

Welcome back.

Okay guys let's free the Italki CEO from captivity, Richard is back. But let him know to not do that again :p

It's good to have you back, Richard :)

I second Esther's thought about those who don't have a network of contacts to support them.

I'm very glad you're back in Italki, Richard, because I like to read your writings very much. I guess it was a mistake of Italki and everything has been fixed because Su.KI. warned of the problem and more people have contributed to the solution of the conflict.
However, I wonder what happens to people who do not have a network of contacts to support them.

Yay! Glad to have you back. :-)

Glad you are back Richard!

Detective Sepideh found the answer why you were banned. Nothing new under the sky. No intentional harm at all. What a relief.

It is always the same word that triggers the algorithms of banning. The name of Homer’s epic poem (not the Iliade), the name of one of the most famous films of Stanley Kubrick, the name of a current TV serie, the name of a documentary film of Swiss-Iraqi filmmaker Samir, the word that describes a long adventurous journey. The reason: spammers used this world.

Italki members beware of:

Old Greek poems

Dull discussions

Infantile conspiracy theories

Surprises of all kind

Sad banning of great members

English teachers who love Stanley Kubrick’s films

Y X crazy algorithms
