Mission impossible: Finding a language partner

I find it really hard to find a language partner coming from a small country that uses its own language (Slovenia and Slovenian in my case).

Not a lot of people trying to learn Slovenian. Even if I do find someone, they usually stop responding after some time, probably due to lack of interest I guess.

Trying to find someone who speaks german with no success.

Bitte helfen!

Why not just pay for a language tutor here? I think if you can afford a computer and internet connection you could afford a tutor. Italki is all set up for that and you can’t beat the prices of most tutors here. It’s a wonderful  resource but everyone needs to be paid for their time, if at least you are learning from them.

Sorry to hear that. Someone once said some guys even have women profiles, because they are easier to receive attentions from people. If you try to work actively on language exchanging sites, it might give you more chances to meet partners, I think. For example, posting good topics on discussion forum, or submitting writing entries and questions about the language that you learn.
