Intelligence tests like personality tests should be administrated by qualified psychologists. I wouldn’t as a parent try to assess the intelligence of my children. I would make mistakes, my look would be biased by what I already know about the children and finally my relationship with them in the future will be conditioned by the wrong conclusions I had. Do not play with fire.

Children psychologists usually use the WISC (Wechsler for children) to assess the IQ of children.

Concerning  psychological assessment of children’s IQ (starting at 6 years of age) the most used test is sill the Wechsler (version Wisc-IV), it is multidimensional and standardized. A bit expensive. There aren’t yet versions in all languages. Maybe in your country you have the fourth version. Very often IQ tests are administered together with personality tests like the CAT (children’s apperception test) to include also the affective dimension.
