Some doubts in English language

Hello guys! Could you please have a look what I wrote down and correct for me any mistakes?

------

This below is a conversation between me and a friend of mine.

My friend: You can play IN the playground of they school if they want. Please check with Nicole if she is happy.

ME: I'll ask Nicole if we can stay there, then I let you know.

I have some doubts:

Can I replace "between me and a friend of mine" with "between a friend of mine and I"?                         It sounds me ok.

with "between I and a friend of mine"?                        This sentence sounds me weird.

(Look at the beginning of the 3rd sentence, please)

Can I replace "ME: I'll ask....." with " I: I'll ask....??

Could we say AT the playground intead of IN the playground??

Can I interchange all these sentences? Why not?

       - I WILL ask Nicole if we can stay there, then I let you know

       - I ask Nicole if we can stay there, then I let you know.

       - I ask Nicole if we can stay there, then I WILL let you know.

       - I WILL ask Nicole if we can stay there, then I WILL let you know.

-------

Thank you!

1. The construction "between X and Y" requires an object pronoun, so using I/she/he/we/they in this construction is wrong. Some native English speakers may say "between you and I" or some variation thereof, usually to sound more "proper", but it's bad grammar.

2. In dialogue, we always write "Me: ..." not "I: ..."

3. Using "at the playground" versus "in the playground" both work in this context.
