I think in Japanese, there are some words which include so many meanings and that meanings change depends on the situation. For example, "Yoroshikuonegaishimasu". We can use it when we want to say like "Please do your best" and ""Nice to meet you". And also, "Yabai" I think this word can be used in any situation when we get impressed so much on something good or bad. Therefore, we need to find out what people really want to say through observing people's acts and expression.
By the way, I think Japanese girls wear girly clothes and put girly make up. Don't you think so?
I used to think that やばい is only used for something bad. When I learned that it can also be used for something good, I thought it was a little strange.
I think the word すごい is also used a lot for all kinds of situations.
