Do you travel to warmer places during cold weather? For those of you who live in cold climates, do you escape the cold temporarily by traveling to somewhere warmer?

Just like Hardik, I try and take the family to colder places from time to time so we can experience what's like to live some place it actually snows. As we have mild temperature even during the winter here it's fun to go places with sub zero temperatures.

Marina, I haven't heard that before. I am curious what aspect of it is unhealthy? But I do think I see how disliking certain weather might be mentally unhealthy. Better to try to see good parts in what you have.

Hardik, as a child I loved to play in snow and to sled on slope, so if you are living in a warm climate, you are missing out :)

Darina, yeah, sometimes my friends and I get a feeling like there's just not enough sun around here. Some people have what is called seasonal affective disorder, and some experience it more strongly than others. It's more prevalent in countries like Norway.

Yes, all the time. I can't live without the sun for a long time. It makes me a bit depressed. So one- or two-week vacation in warm countries is just for me.
Also I often travel to Thailan for work and I meet a lot of people from Europe who spend 3 or even more months there.

Nope, but definitely the other way around.

Not at all, I welcome the cold weather. All the mosquito's die! If you wear the right clothes, it's okay! The only thing that bothers me is when I am on my bicycle, and it's about more than ten below, after an hour or so, I get these frozen toes. Then I just walk a few hundred meters and it is okay again. It's just my toes, don't know why, and only when cycling.
