Hi, I hope you don't mind my correcting your question, but it sounded stiff, and it was a little difficult to understand. I would rephrase it as:

Appearance and Ethnic Origin As Bases of Judgment

What importance do you place on the appearance or ethnicity {or "ethnic origins"} of your conversation {or "language exchange"}  partners {as a basis of judgment}.*

Please answer honestly.

*{}This sounds a little redundant and is better left out.

My two cents: I avoid people with cheesecake/beefcake shots of themselves as avatars. It reeks of people using the site to hit on others. I also avoid people with Snapchat-altered avatars because they tend to be from a younger demographic and I probably don’t have a lot in common with them. For languages where I have an advanced level in, I care more about nationality because I'm trying to get the accent right. For languages where I am a beginner, I prefer those who have a better handle at grammar, whatever nationality they may have.
