what do you think about russian's tourism?
everyone know about St.Petersburg, Moscow and Baikal. I want to ask you about this. Do you know Altai or Karelia?

More for their role in history than as tourist destinations. I know of Karelia for its role in the Winter War with Finland. I don't know anything at all about Altai Krai or the Altai Republic, but I know a bit about the Altai mountains. They are the namesake of the Altaic language family. They are probably the place where apples were first domesticated. They were where the Denisovan finger bones were found, which was a milestone in modern genetics. That's about it.

I only visited St.Petersburg (and liked it very much). I would like to visit the country and maybe take the Trans Siberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok, but the journey on this train is too expensive.
I red some books of Chingiz Aitmatov and also would love to go to Kirghizistan but it’s an independent republic . I don’t know anything about Altai, unfortunately. Is it beautiful?

I was in Biysk, city on South-East of Altay. Altai is wonderfull place! There is beautifull nature, mountains, rivers and e.t.c. Mountain Altai, Chemal, Belokurikha. Currently actively developing tourism.

I've heard of Karelia, but not Altai. Never been to Russia, but would like to ride a train to Baikal. Hopefully it wouldn't be overrun with tourists. Judging by the maps, though, Russia should be able to accommdate generous amounts of visitors!

I would love to take an historical tour of Russia, I think it would be wonderful. And like every tourist, i would look forward to stuffing myself with delicious Russian cuisine!
