I'd like to politely add to Ryan's comment as I think he left out a point.
We DO say 'good night,' but it is only used when saying good-bye, or when you go to bed.
Therefore, saying "Hi, good night' is like saying 'Hello, good-bye!" :-)

You wouldn't say good night. We don't really have a saying at night other than good evening, but it's only used at stores or restaurants or places like those. Just helpful tip.
