My favorite Russian tradition is to cook and eat pancakes during Maslenitsa, which is celebrated during the last week before Great Lent.

Hi Margaret!
My favourite South African tradition is having a meal with family or friends called a 'braai', this is something similar to a barbecue. It always involves lots of food, drink and laughter. We have a national braai day celebrated on public holiday called "Heritage Day" to celebrate our South African culture.

Actually I can't identify a particular tradition we follow in Egypt but the reality that our life here is revolving around traditions and habits that I think are so different from other countries, some of them can provide the help to keep our society conservative and some of them are truly harmful and can corrupt our life,
For instance I see marriage in Egypt became so difficult because of the high expenses we have to pay. But the reality that those things we have to pay for, most of them are from the Egyptians made so following the traditions can lead to some avoidable problems with no doubt.
