EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRICITY

Hello, everyone

Im writing an complain letter to practice, does anyone can help to correct it? Thank you very much!

In the last two months ( November and December) the electricity consumption reached more than 300,00 per month, it doubled in relation to previous months.

The increase of people in the house and the cold that has done, didnt not justify an increase of this dimension.

I have checked daily that there are other factors, which are wrong behaviors, contributed to the increase of the energy expenditure and also do harm to the safety of every one.

Heaters - Consume large amounts of electricity, which can be used sensibly. They should never be turned on without people being around. Dont dry clothes on your clothes on the heaters, cause it will be a serious fire hazard.

Stove - Should be used sensibly. I have noticed that sometimes you left water boiling on the stove while no one was cooking. It is an unnecessary consumption.

Oven - Consume large amounts of electricity.Should be used sensibly.

Ahhh, it's such a heartbreaking letter! The heaters are to blame! The electricity bill for January will probably show up in my nightmares. I tried to reduce electricity consumption last month but sleeping in a jacket is too depressing. Why is there no central heating, why...? I see what the landlord means but it won't help, I'm afraid. The tenants have my sympathy.

Hot Baths - the water heater consumes large amounts of electricity. The showers should be taken quickly.

Washing Machine - Should be used only with full loads of clothing, about 7 kg. Washing with small amounts of laundry consumes THE same AMOUNT OF energy AS when the machine is full and can do harm to the machine.

Toasters and small household electric appliances - Though they are small, they also consume a lot of electricity. They should be used sensibly.

Lights: I have come across sometimes with lights on while no one was there NOTICED THAT LIGHTS ARE SOMETIMES LEFT ON EVEN WHEN  NO ONE IS PRESENT. which also increased THIS ALSO INCREASES consumption.

The use of several appliances at the same time MAY CAUSE THE FUSE TO BLOW OR THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TO TRIP, so the management of the use of appliances should be practical.

If this level of electricity consumption is maintained, in the next months of your contracts, I will have to increase your rent by around€ 20 / month / room.  € 20/month/room [no space before or after the slash].

To avoid the increase I urge you to follow the above process.

I would like to point out that it is forbidden to dry clothes on the heaters, because of the fire hazard!

[or to say it stronger “IT IS FORBIDDEN TO DRY CLOTHES ON THE HEATERS BECAUSE OF THE FIRE HAZARD!]

Thank you very much!

In the last two months ( November and December) the COST OF electricity consumption reached more than 300,00 € per month, it doubled in relation to previous months.

The increase of people in the house and the cold TEMPERATURES that has done, didn’t DO not justify an increase of this dimension.

I have checked daily that there are TO IDENTIFY other factors, which are wrong behaviors, AND contributed to the increase of the energy expenditure IN THE COST OF THE ELECTRICITY and also MAY/COULD do harm to the safety of every one EVERYONE (= all the people/each person)

Heaters - Consume large amounts of electricity, which can be used sensibly???.

They should never be turned on without people being around.

Don’t dry clothes on your clothes on the heaters, cause BECAUSE it will be COULD BE a serious fire hazard.

Stove - Should be used sensibly. I have noticed that sometimes you left water boiling on the stove while no one was cooking. It is an unnecessary consumption OF ELECTRICITY.
