IELTS Readiing - T/F/NG

A prevalent attitude amongst many nurses in the group selected for study was that there was no reward or recognition for not utilizing the paid sick leave entitlement allowed them in their employment conditions.

If the nurses don't use their paid sick leave, they will get rewarded.

Here, the text says how nurses think of their paid sick leave.  But in the question says a general statement and question doesn't mention about nurses. My question is that they may be rewarded for not utilizing the paid sick leave. Because they don't know the exact rule, they have just an opinion.

In my opinion, the answer should be NG.   But the answer is false. How can I answer this type of question, please?. I mean, the text says someone's opinion and questions says a general opinion without mention the author.

I'm not sure what source you are using, but this is not an official IELTS task. The question seems to be wrong. The question for this section of text should be this:

"Nurses [ in the... study ] believed that there were benefits in taking as little sick leave as possible."

The answer is 'False'.

Always ensure that the source of your practice material is reliable. There is a lot of doubtful IELTS material out there.

Upon further research, I believe that Su.Ki is right.
