What do you think about online learning? I am becoming more and more convinced that online learning is a serious alternative to classical education at the university level and even to get graduated.
I, myself, have taken few of online courses and I am currently enrolled in others. My preferred online learning platforms are Coursera and Edx. I've occasionally taken courses on Udemy.
But I still wonder how do employers consider certificates earned through online learning?
Do you have personal experiences to share?

It enhances your degree.  It doesn't replace it.  It works well when an employer likes you and wants to promote you. However, one requirement is that you must have a degree. This case works perfectly.  The time when an on-line degree gets your foot in the door is not here yet.

I think that online courses can be highly valuable learning tools, but I'm rather skeptical of the value of online degrees. The main problem is that (as far as I know) it's not really possible to ascertain that you did all the work and took all the exams by yourself. (Well, that's a problem with traditional degrees as well, but even more so with online degrees.) I suspect that in the future, there will be test centers where you'll be able to show up, with your ID, and then take an exam under controlled conditions. Then those certificates might become more valuable.

Hi,

I think that online courses is great! You have possibility to improve your knowledge sitting at home. it is awesome!

But, please, do not confuse with online education. If you want to have education, please go to classroom.  This is my opinion.
