Discuss the Article : How To Have A Language Immersion Experience At Home
Regardless of your location, when it comes to learning a second language, adopting this method as a tool for improvement can help you to get quicker and more effective results in your target language.
Wow! I have never heard of language villages! That is a great idea, I often find myself practicing my target language when in nature, a calming atmosphere means a lot.
Also, about reading books, I would highly suggest reading on your e-book reader (like Kindle), if you have one, I have read a book in Russian on an e-book reader and find the option to translate one specific word at a time to be very helpful.
Thank you for a great article Ernest!
"Do some necessary chores (if they need to be done!), but still try to use some of your target language. For example, go shopping, but have your phone’s settings and the shopping list in your target language."
I like that idea. My shopping list could be a good place to practice writing in my new language.
Also, we received a package from overseas that contained old planner pages that had lists on them. I saved those pages and have begun to understand what that person had listed.
