When you start studying a language, make all your surroundings connected to that language. Try to think in that language other than your mother tongue, read as much as you can and write your own articles about your interests on a daily basis. Moreover, try to communicate in the language you focus on, with your friends and public when appropriate.

Hello Jack. I’m French native. I’m learning English and German by myself. I use Assimil to learn English and Michel Thomas to learn German. I use also a grammar method. Furthemore, I have lesson in Italki once a week.

To learn Hindi, I have lessons in face-to-face because it’s a language very uncommon.

For all languages, I use  flashcards and mindmapping. I read newspapers and  books especially for learners. Movies and music are very important to be connected with the new language. Also, I use Duolingo  and Tell Me More because it’s important to have fun. Of course, I writte comments in Italki.

Hey! Great question. To help out, I rewrote it to sound more native. I hope this helps your practice.

Chinese and English are international languages. So, is it necessary for us to learn them or just a waste of time? It's up to you. It depends on how you study them. How do you study a second language?

Hello! I try to watch movies and series in English and with subtitles in English. Since I do that I have improved a little bit my listening. I read books in English too, right now I'm reading The Little Prince and is helping me with vocabulary!
