Hi Veronica
I wanna share my most exciting moment when I learn foreign language to you. Especially, It's English.
Second common language in my country is English. Hence I started learning English since I was six. When I was in grade 8, my school employed an foreign teacher - Mr. Peter. He is very kind and humorous. Everyday from that time, I was always looking forward to his class. He gave me many interesting examples about English's cultures and funny stories about people in his countries.
I studied and absorbed much knowledges of foreign countries because of him. I must say that I feel thankful to him from the bottom of my heart.
That's all my exciting moment. Thank you!!^^
It was when for accident watched a series in english without subtitles and I realized that I was understanding almost everything!
:)
I get lesson from a community tutor in Venezuela. When I was selecting a teacher, I wanted a native Spanish speaker. I paid no attention at all to other language skills. After about ten lessons, I suddenly realized that (unlike my other teacher) she does not know English. Obviously my language companions know (some) English, and my teacher in Spain knows English very well.
But, for the first time, I had succeeded in communicating and having sustained conversations with someone who does not know English. And I said to myself, "Well, then, that proves it--I must know some Spanish!"
From that day on I stopped saying "I am trying to learn Spanish" and started saying "I know a little Spanish."
