:P(damn, I don't understand why pasting links on italki has to be an issue! I don't get italki sometimes.)
Chose any of your favorite English songs and find its
original text and translation. Read all it.
Listening to the English song look at the
original text and you will hear and understand more words then before.
I would suggest Disney or musical songs because the words are usually simple and enunciation is clear. Pop and especially hiphop artists use a lot of dialogue/words that learners won't be able to understand.
Examples of Disney songs:
Can you feel the love tonight (lion king) , a whole new world (aladdin), let it go (frozen) , beauty and the beast, i can go the distance (Hercules) , part of your world (little mermaid), be a man (mulan) colors of the wind (pocahontas), I won't say i'm in love (hercules)
Broadway musicals:
I dreamed a dream, On my own, One day more (Les Miserables)
Music of the night, Phantom of the opera, All i ask of you (Phantom of the Opera)
Defying gravity, for good (Wicked)
Aida, Rent, Book of Mormon, Into the woods
There's a movie musical that came out a few months ago, The Greatest Showman. That's pretty good too.
