Single life can be wonderful. It depends of ourselves, positive thinking, interest in many cases, spend time active.

If you want a colorful life you need to paint it.
I agree that is not easy be alone and make thinks by yourself, but if you don't have choice you need to find a great way to life.

Let’s answer your second question first — the one about how to be wonderful even if we are alone.
From what I’ve seen, it is only after you figure out how to have a wonderful life alone that you will be able to have a wonderful relationship. As far as how to do that, unfortunately, the 2000-word limit won’t allo for a complete explanation.
Returning to the question in your title about how to make our lives colorful, I suppose you could take lots of pictures and use something like PhotoShop to enhance the color saturation.
