(Brazil): Lula - Arrest - Sergio Moro Sergio Moro ordered former Ex-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil to surrender to the authorities by today to start serving a 12-year prison sentence on a corruption conviction.

What is your opinion about the judgment (politically, judicially ...) and on Lula's attitude not to surrender to the police?

I didn't know about that new until 2 days ago. I am not aware what da Silva did to deserve what moro ordered. But I was surprised because I remember i heard some years ago that da Silva was a good President, but i dont really know about the situation of Brazil. I believe all people who commit crime deserves to pay for it.

In Mexico there are many cases that politicians steal, kill, ..., and they are still trying to be in a charge, that is completely unjust for all the inhabitant because that money is of the taxes we pay In order to pay for some services. And in the other hand sometimes innocent people is punished but the big difference is they are not rich people and they dont have the resources to defend themselves. Justice should be equal, apply for all without differences.
