@Suleman
My current favorite is Jorge Ben Jor (Brazil). But I'm a huge fan of latin music, so I'm going to share some of my favorites with you:
Tim Maia (Brazil)
Ases Falsos (Chile)
Natiruts (Brazil)
Monsieur Periné (Colombia)
Mallu Magalhães (Brazil)
Natalia Lafourcade (Mexico)
Calle 13 (Puerto Rico)
Monobloco (Brazil)
Gepe (Chile)
Juan Pablo Vega (Colombia)
O Rappa (Brazil)
Esteman (Colombia)
@Tiago, I wish we had an equivalent metal band as good as Sepultura here in Mexico, but not even close :(
So maybe from Mexico could be Molotov, I like the irreverence of those a-holes jeje.

This is from a famous band (famous inside Brazil) during the 90's Mamonas Assassinas is the name, they were a comedy band, their musics lyrics where kind of jokes and funny short stories... Almost all Brazilians even the ones with a tiny sense of humor liked those guys back then... But they all died in a plane crash before launching their second album... It was during my childhood and was far too sad for me and my friends I remember...
Well this song I shared is a metal joke cause before they made fame through funny contents they were a metal band but had no success with it but this music shows them going heavy while talking funny nonsense things :)
