GRAMMAR: Patterns with I
• You say:
• Raquel and I will travel to Morocco .
✗ Don’t say: <strike>I and Raquel</strike>
• In everyday English, you say that someone is older, younger, taller etc than me:
• Debora is older than me.
• Hossam is older than Kathe .
• You can also say:
• They were older than I was.
It sounds very formal to say than I !
