I have taken a class with a teacher from Indonesia. He was really easygoing and friendly. He told me it's really common to eat rice there and most people love it.

Of course I know a little bit about Indonesia but never was there. There are islands, volcano, earthquakes, the ancient city of Borobudur, and the former American president of the US spent a part of his childhood there.
I ate some Indonesian food, Nasi Goreng and Bami Goreng, once I was in Holland. I think Indonesia was colonized at a certain moment. I know that the majority of the people are Muslims but there are many Buddhist also especially in Bali.
