The reason for this is simple. If you say I’ll help you for free people interpret this either consciously or subconsciously as the services having no value.

Offering free services to people causes them to downgrade the value of your service, show you no respect and abuse the services. I’d highly recommend against it. It’s a prescription for disaster.
