English listening test  Every day, I practice my listening in English. I watch TV series in English, I watch videos on youtube in English and I really find it very difficult to understand this language. For example, I see these videos with English subtitles, and I have the feeling that they only read with subtitles. If I practice without subtitles, it is very difficult for me to understand everything.
Also, the listening tests are very strange because for me. They speak very quickly and the words when the speaker speaks are greatly reduced. How is it possible to understand the English test?
I think it's easier to understand people when I talk with them. Do you know any tips on how to understand the listening test in English?

Alberto, the way you speak is the way you expect to hear. The reduced forms are actually the normal way native English speakers talk, so you would benefit from practicing that pronunciation yourself. Have you mastered the schwa (reduced vowel /ə/)? Are you even familiar with it at all? Although it doesn’t even have a letter of its own, it is by far the single most common sound in the English language (and it is crucial to establishing the typical rhythm of English), so if you’re not familiar with it, you’re going to have major problems with listening. Once you have mastered it, spoken English suddenly makes sense. (Of course, it’s easier if we perfect our pronunciation before learning 10000 words, but still, the sooner, the better.)

Recommendation: Learn all you can about the schwa, practice it, then fine-tune your pronunciation by doing active listening exercises such as shadowing. Have fun, and good luck!

"listening tests are very strange because for me"

So far as I know,  the speed of speakers' speech in most formal English tests is set to be average so that they are able to test the real level of the listeners. If you think the listening test is too quick to react, you probably have to get used to normally standard speaking speed with easier materials like "BBC 6-minute learning English. " When you are cozy with the standard English speaking, you are easily to approach informal, casual conversation in a drama or TV series, these are often full of slang, acronyms, dialects , casual phrases ....etc .

When you are listening to the news report on TV or on Youtube, English learners have to keep high concentration on the reading since the context is even more complex than usual and surely the voice quality has to accordingly fit your listening comprehension. That is not an easy task to go through if you are not very proficient in that language. Actors in the TV series are also speaking at a extraordinary "normal" speed, that is not suitable for English learners below intermediate level.

"I think it's easier to understand people when I talk with them."

In general conversation, the phrase, the wording is not so complicated to confuse you and you may as well interact with the speakers with gesture, questions or posture such as nodding to help mutual communication. As normal,  native speakers would adjust their speaking speed to accord to your speaking and listening, so it is easier to understand to talk with native speakers face to face. Surely a anchor man would not on purpose slow down their speaking to help you understand their reports.
