When I talk about sex discrimination, the first thing flashes in your mind is probably a man who attacks or rapes a weak girl while she cries and wants to escape. But I’ve discovered it’s common for men to be victim also. Don’t imagine some guys f*** a baby but I’m talking about my real experiments when I wait for a taxi a long time and nobody stops for me while there’s a row of waiters for a lady other side of the street. And also I’m talking about this fact that nobody doesn’t volunteer to make a call with me on Skype even after a politely enough request I’ve released on Italki while there’s so many reply for lady’s request. Why is so? Can we consider such treatments as sex discrimination against men?
Well it seams no one likes people who are in love with the US. Not even Americans themselves. Just kidding. Some Americans probably do, but not enough to do free work for you. Although it may not seem that way to you, helping you learn English is work. Depending on your English level and whether you are an interesting conversationalist, it can be really hard and boring work. It's difficult to find someone willing to volunteer their time to help a stranger. I have no idea why so many people here feel entitled to free conversation lessons just because they "asked politely." You can still improve your chances of finding someone to talk to if you do your best to help others with your native language and participate in community activities so people are going to get you know you, hopefully like you, and feel more comfortable talking to you at some point. But remember there are no guarantees and no one here owes you anything. And yes, being a female would improve your chances as well, but since you don't have that option, you'll have to focus on other ways.
I guess it is about scales.
One side a whole load of male entitlements on one side and a whole load of positive male discrimination while on the other side the occassional bit of female positive discrimination. The finger is heavily pressed on one side.
Suck it up ;-)
