Is there any sex discrimination against men everywhere even in Italki?

When I talk about sex discrimination, the first thing flashes in your mind is probably a man who attacks or rapes a weak girl while she cries and wants to escape. But I’ve discovered it’s common for men to be victim also. Don’t imagine some guys f*** a baby but I’m talking about my real experiments when I wait for a taxi a long time and nobody stops for me while there’s a row of waiters for a lady other side of the street. And also I’m talking about this fact that nobody doesn’t volunteer to make a call with me on Skype even after a politely enough request I’ve released on Italki while there’s so many reply for lady’s request. Why is so? Can we consider such treatments as sex discrimination against men?

Well it seams no one likes people who are in love with the US. Not even Americans themselves. Just kidding. Some Americans probably do, but not enough to do free work for you. Although it may not seem that way to you, helping you learn English is work. Depending on your English level and whether you are an interesting conversationalist, it can be really hard and boring work. It's difficult to find someone willing to volunteer their time to help a stranger. I have no idea why so many people here feel entitled to free conversation lessons just because they "asked politely." You can still improve your chances of finding someone to talk to if you do your best to help others with your native language and participate in community activities so people are going to get you know you, hopefully like you, and feel more comfortable talking to you at some point. But remember there are no guarantees and no one here owes you anything. And yes, being a female would improve your chances as well, but since you don't have that option, you'll have to focus on other ways.

I guess it is about scales.

One side a whole load of male entitlements on one side and a whole load of positive male discrimination while on the other side the occassional bit of female positive discrimination. The finger is heavily pressed on one side.

Suck it up ;-)

Ehsan if you don't want to talk to other men then you are the one who is discriminating.

Dont think that because people are hesitant to talk with you on here its because of your gender. The internet is a scary place and there are some very bad people that can try to take advantage. It's difficult to trust a stranger male or female. In todays day and age its so easy for hackers or anyone for that matter to find out everything about you. If a profile is insisting very quickly that we exchange Skype names and email and phone numbers and whatsapp, I get suspicious. Its human nature. Being a female I have lived my entire life being told to beware of strange men. It is something that is ingrained in us since as long as we can remember. We are told men are stronger and more powerful. We can never tell who is good or bad so its safe to assume they all are bad and approach with caution than assume they are good and get hurt.

Some men use this site as a dating site looking for woman. Women don’t. That’s why you sense discrimination. I saw an American guy „learning Russian“, or so he said. He had 7 different Russian teachers in the last month. They all looked to be about 25 years old, all were female, and all looked like beauty queens. That ought to tell you how serious the person was about learning Russian, a formidable task for an American.
