Danny
Which languages would you teach your child? If you had to have your child learn 3 languauges, which would they be? Even if you nor your husband/wife don't know said languages, which languages would you choose? I personally would love for my child to learn Spanish, Russian and Italian.

That's an awesome question! For me it's actually settled though, because my mother tongue is Russian, my husband is a Spanish speaker but we still use a lot of English and I don't think it will change much in the future. So looks like our future kids are doomed to have 3 native languages - Russian, Spanish and broken English =DD

And Danny why have you chosen these 3 languages in particular? Are they the languages you're learning?

Russian, English, Chinese
From that point will be easier to learn many more others.

I would agree with Wanda and Joshua - English, Spanish, Chinese

The worlds three most widespread languages, good coverage on some of the major language familes.  My kid could get dropped off pretty much anywhere in the world and someone would be able to understand him :-)

I would choose to speak to them in Hebrew my mother tongue, German and Finnish. I don't know what would be my favorites in the future but for now that's it. I'm only 14 years old.

I'd have to choose English, Chinese and Spanish. That's the ideal situation. In reality, my kids are bilingual in English and this incredibly important language called Dutch!
