At my son's university, a group of volunteers bring their dogs every Thursday so the students can pet the dogs and relax and be happier.  It is common for students to feel stressed about their classes and their exams.  Sometimes students are lonely or miss their families.  And getting to spend a few minutes looking at a nice dog, petting it and talking to it can cheer up the students.

Actually babies can be lovely as much as puppies but there's two important differents between them:

first of all, animals wil not be changed whole their life while mankind can be changed easier than u could even imagine. 

Secondly, as be said sheep's baby always will be a sheep, wolf's baby always will be a wolf, otherwise human's baby can be a sheep, wolf or sometimes rarely will be a kind of human. 

Because of two reasons mentioned above human's baby can be disgusting.
