SHAME ON YOU ITALKI

Well, if you don't like Iranian members, why don't you say it straightforward? What does the damn NOTHING FOUND mean? How many times should other users and I write to you to fix the problem? What are you trying to get?

I'm quite certain that you're doing this on purpose. You think that if notebook entries written by Iranians become invisible, no one will learn about Iran. Your conspiracy makes me feel sick!!! First Andrew said that italki was aware of the problem and was trying to fix it. OK. How much time do you need to do it? The Chinese New Year's holidays ended a long time ago.

What are all of these lies for? Banning Iranians and depriving them from getting corrections are so abhoring!

I doubt that it is a conscious decision. I also asked for a technical fix several months ago: two languages are on the menu - Hokkien and Hakka but cannot be added to anybody's profile, which means you cannot post in them or write anything about them. I have asked several times but - crickets ... (= nada, no effect). Clearly, technical service resources are somewhere near zero. Not sure what is the lesser evil - believing in a conspiracy theory like yours or accepting a complete lack of technical support.

Pretty sure OP's complaint refers to English notebook entries by native Farsi speakers not showing up in searches - which is a rather odd glitch that was reported here some time ago: https://www.italki.com/discussion/164876.

Sure, this and the Hokkien/Hakka issue I mentioned above are niche issues, but the same poor response (automated email replies only, no substantive action taken) also shows up with service problems that affect a much larger number of users, like the "random user blocking" problem which has plagued this site for the last three weeks.

@Evil Eye : you are right, that is a conscious decision. And that's exactly what I have some beef with. I perfectly understand a business' need to keep the cost down. But when you reduce tech capability to near zero or zero (who knows) user experience suffers. Which makes for disappointed users. Like I said, I am not sure what I'd prefer - a service that consciously decides to tick off certain users, or one that just generally ignores users indiscriminately. You know what, I do not like EITHER.

Cool your jets, pal. I've had all six comments deleted simply for writing positively about the United States. My comments were to Iranian friends who are interested in America. Therefore, Iranians are not being singled out. If I misunderstood your comment, I apologize.
