I have to admit I struggled to understand what the sentence means, my problem, not your English.  I wondered if there was a comma missing (and a question mark and probably best not to start a sentence with And) but I shall ponder it all day, thank you.

Perhaps it is something to do with someone who wants to love a woman with brown skin, and she has to be pretty.  Picky. :-) od use of the word "use".
