I find cockney rhyming slang to be intriguing.

Some examples:

- jam-jar = car

- Dinky doos = shoes

- Sausage roll = goal

- China plate = mate (friend)

- Bubble and squeak = Greek

Please don't forget that slang is a type of language consisting of words and phrases that are regarded as very informal, are more common in speech than writing, and are typically restricted to a particular context or group of people. (Quoted from the dictionary).

But, You can still have fun with them!

Slang or colloquial is good at handling toilet humour and that (rather enormous) side of life that polite society and the media ignores. It does it perfectly well. Luckily, I mix in very low circles (present company excepted) and know a lot of it. But, but ... can you write it here without causing offence? Probably not. Don't worry, there are whole books devoted to English slang. ''to tu...le'' was a new UK English toilet slang I found very funny.

If someone nearby farts and you smell it, tell them to "light a match."
