A double life. Why do people try to hide themselves and does it make sense? Popular artists, singers or actors. Before the television and cameras they show their houses and cars. And sometimes they live in absolutely different places, more simple and safe. Others hide their true profession or place of birth for some reasons.
What is a double life? In what circumstances do people really need it? Don't you mind if a person you are talking with has some other style of life for someone else?

They do it for privacy. So that, although they are celebrities/public figures, they have somewhere to go just be themselves.

I agree with your comments guys, about a rich people. Because popularity is a very tiring thing.
But in our daily life...for example. (Was not taken from any life's experience :)))
If a person has (as we call it) a simple job, or maybe he has an ordinar education, after some very small college and things like that. What would we say about him? That he is not interesting? No! Because he has some other qualities or a great sense of humour...what can we say about his friends?
That they love him as he is,...right? Not for...what he has..
And just imagine, he meets a new people. He is telling them "a story"...what he is doing. In time if things go too far, he tries to follow his own "stories" and been not who he is in reality. He is like that with one, and absolutely different with another people. One part of him wants to be himself, the other wants to be someone else..
I don't know, I wouldn't want to have a friends, who don't want to accept me as I am. Why should I hide something? As, someone said: "Be yourself, because other places are already taken"

I don't see that as a double life if their lives have improved, why should they keep the same lifestyle? Or are you still the same person since you were 5 years old?.

The problem is that most people think that by showing how simple you are or the things you have that's the better way to be accepted by society, that hypocrite one that tries to shape us every single day.

I came from a very poor neighborhood and looking at where I am today I don't miss it whatsoever. The fact I came from that place doesn't mean I have to take it with me for the rest of my life.

It's hard to live in the public eye all the time. I can totally understand why they choose to hide where they live, or their actual lifestyle.
