Why can't we schedule lessons less than 24 hours in advance? Why can't we schedule lessons less than 24 hours in advance? For example, I want to schedule a lesson for tomorrow, but all the schedules are greyed-out. There are teachers who obviously have time available, but italki won't allow scheduling? Why not? Is there any way around this?   @italki #italki

In the teacher search screen, select "available for instant tutoring."

If you’ve already taken lessons with the teacher, simply send them a message and they may be willing to coordinate the time via message, while simply scheduling the “official time” for the next available slot.

Hi Gary,

From a teacher's perspective, I would not like to put my time aside just in case there's a last-minute booking. I want to use my time productively, and I think it's appropriate to have a limit to how late a student can book a lesson.

Aside from Phil's suggestion for instant tutoring, if you want a specific teacher for tomorrow, then just write to that person and ask nicely. It's quite possible the teacher can fit you in. As far as putting it through the italki system, you could book a "dummy session", ie. a later session, after you agree on an earlier time.

Yes, thank you, Phil, I know about that. But that's not what I'm talking about. I want to schedule a lesson for tomorrow. But it is within 24 hours.
