I always wish my friends happy Ramadan and happy Eid. In my town, there are celebrations where Muslims and Christians celebrating breaking the fasting together. I think it's nice to acknowledge the traditions of friends. What I find interesting that Ramadan slowly moves around the year. It's a different kind of lunar calendar. Easter and Chinese New Year just move within a certain time frame, the former between March and April, the latter between January and February. What I don't like though is visiting Muslim friends when they are fasting during the day because they will force me to eat something while they don't eat. I'd prefer also not to eat then but don't dare to refuse because that would also be impolite.

Ramadan is not easy, especially currently (in summer) for the most nothern masjid in Norilsk.

I heard that Mohammad said that everyone can ascertain the night when the first verses of Quran were fetched. In Ramadan month One needs to wait of the Moon rise, which is resemble of a half a plate. And I slightly disappointed that people are provided with ready calendars.
