Well, I'm Spanish and I'm currently studying English. Among my weak points, I would underline the speaking and listening skills (I also have a poor vocabulary but I think is enough to have some conversations). As you can deduce I have lack of practice so mainly I would like to find some people to chat or speak with via Skype. I hope to be fluent with the experience, I'm perseverant.
If you are in a similar situation to mine, but in the opposite way (trying to learn Spanish) let me know it. I will be glad helping you too.
I live in Spain, I tell you all because the time zone could be a problem ;)
I have a kid sister who lives in Spain. Small world hahaha
Some pointers I will give you. Watch English speaking TV and listen to the words and how they speak these words and how they react. Pause it after every scene and repeat the words themselves
Secondly, music helps too
Third a language partner could help. I'm not currently learning Spanish but willing to help you with your English
Thanks Philip, actually I sometimes try to watch some movies in English (with English subtitles), but they usually speak too quick and I end up reading more than listening (so is like I would be reading a book and also paying attention to the pronunciation but without subtitles I get lost easily). This is a little frustrating but I know learning a language requires lots of time, i mean, I will go on watching videos and movies in English. About the music, almost all the music I listen to is in English.
Thanks for writing!
