In addition to what Suleman said, I would add that it's the freedom of expression that Hollywood has. The US doesn't censor entertainment, as do many other countries.

Because English is one of the most desired languages in the world. Hence English Pop stars are generally marketed better in parts of the world resulting in more popularity and sales.

Many Asians consider white people are charming. That's one of the reasons.

And in Taiwan, we learn English to take tests. Music is a good way to learn English.

I'm not saying they are best just saying they are well known among us. Well there are lots of people from the different corners of the nation and they are well known too but the no is very few.
