For English speakers who are trying to learn Japanese using anime

Does anyone have a favorite anime for learning Japanese?

I really like this anime site:

https://animelon.com/

There are dozens of anime to choose from. Here is what you can do with them:

You can slow down the anime so you have a bit more time to understand what is said.

You can display subtitles in hiragana, katakana, kanji, romaji and English. If you click on a Japanese word in the subtitles, then you get a pop up giving you the definition of that word. There are other features that I haven't tried yet. You can download the text of all the conversations in a particular episode.

I recommend watching an anime called, "Usagi Drop." It is a "slice of life" kind of anime. There are conversations between adults and adults, adults and children and children and children. There are only 11 episodes. But 11 episodes is enough to be exposed to a whole lot of spoken Japanese in a variety of circumstances.
