"The world has gone " or "The world is gone?
I listened to the second phrase in one movie, and it made me wonder if it's common in speaking.
Thanks for help
both of them can be correct. but i think the second one is correct in the movie and means "end of the world". but for the first one it needs something else. for example "the world has gone cold". Also, "the world is gone" is an album was released by Various in 2006 :)
First one is correct.
Maybe it was the subtitle problem.
The short form of "The world has gone" can become "The world's gone"
People might misunderstand it as "The world is gone"
