What kind of knowledge is needed in daily life Education it is a very important part of our life. Some of us study sciences, others study languages or psychology. And still we have many things in common. In some countries people want that everyone has a knowledge of medicine. They think that it can make lifes of people longer. The other support some religious lessons for understanding history and art. In schools, colleges, universities we have more than 20 different subjects.

What would you say? What kind of knowledge should one have? How many different subjects are really necessary to have in life? About what would you say: "You are not educated well, without knowing this...this and this".

I am very glad to read all your ideas and thoughts friends. Don't be shy to write here what is important for you as you think. It's a good practice for both, me and you.
Thank you for reading this :)

I feel that academic subjects have nothing to do with our daily life.

I have learned algebra, calculus, physics and I have never used them in my daily life. Nobody discuss about this when having a chat.

I think the most important thing is to follow the current trend. For example, in today's China, we use E-payment, online shopping, online ordering food and everything goes online now. So you have to understand those things otherwise you can't do anything in daily life.

Current trend including topics like k-pop, some viral videos on internet, some popular tv-drama and a lot of other things. In my opinion, there is nothing to do with academic subjects. If you score A for those academic subject without knowing current trend., you will be a nerd in daily life.

For me, the most important thing that we should learn nowadays is how to be open minded. How to treat others without lookig at their religion, language , color or even culture. There are a lot of problems that we face in this world because many people have lack of education about this part. If we enlighten ourselves and teach ourselves and the others about this, we are going to live in beautiful place. I wish from the bottom of my heart one day all peopel live in peace and love each other no matter what. [emoji]

Saying specifically about the knowledge I'd say we need only to know where is the computer's "ON" button.
However, except the knowledge, we need a specific ability, called a creativity. Good or bad, but Google still unable to give us this.

I think a light exposure to many different areas is good at an early age. Some kids will find something that awes them or invites their curiosity. I saw a good program on BBC once about a kid who had gone to visit the British Museum, and saw in one of glassed off exhibits a stone which had strange etchings or engravings on it. That was 'linear B', an undecipherable script from before Roman times. There was, regrettably, no Rosetta Stone for this, and nobody had a clue to what it meant. However, that did not daunt our pupil, who made it his own life's work to decipher it...

Knowledge? I guess its about knowing what is humanity. People are born intellectual, anything can be learn, but humanity? Nowadays, its too hard.
