Hi Mark,

Since you've spent time learning French, think back on how you've learned it, and whether you can use the same resources when learning Spanish.

I'd recommend you to check out Duolingo (app + website). Their Spanish course is very good, and a fun way to learn the basics and keep you interested. What they lack is more on the explanations, so I would accompany that with an audio course perhaps (my favorite is Michel Thomas' Foundation course), and a textbook or a website where you can look up basic grammar explanations.

For websites, check out this listing: https://forum.wordreference.com/threads/general-resources-recursos-generales-please-contribute.2220250/

Hope this helps!

So what are the 3 words that you currently know? :)

Yes Mark, start with the basics: my name is, I am ? years old, I live in..I like, numbers, days of the week, months, seasons. Once you can remember all that, move on to a harder topic. Or set yourself the goal to learn one new word per day. Keep it up.
