How often do you use foreign language in your free time? No matter how tired I am, I try to use English for more than one hour a day, but sometimes it's hard for me.

How many hours a day do you usually use foreign language after school or after work? Reading a book, watching a movie, listening to music...anything is OK.

I am studying English in some apps. Like Cousera. Quora and some news apps. My problem is I spend too much time in learning English... almost 3-4 hours a day. Although my English is not so good... Sometimes I think may be I just like English too much... But now I realize that most of the time I use it as a tool to acquire knowledge. The fact is I like to learn new things. English could open up many social, historical, philosophical and psychological pathways for me.

I try to learn new vocab for Japanese, Chinese, and French everyday. I will often take notes from my textbooks and practice writing sentences. I will often listen to music and watch movies in different languages. I would like to have speaking practice but I can only say basic sentences so far.

5 minutes to speaking English is my goal  that i set eveyday. Although 5 minutes is too small for me to use English each day, I can done my target. I always success in the goal. This will help me feel better than when I set the goal too large but only complete the goal within the first few days and feeling depressed right afterwarrd. Sometimes I surpass my goals. For example, I spend 5 minutes  speaking English but I feel this topic that is interesting so actually, I talk to my friend almost 3 hours

Usually I try to watch at least 1h hour of drama in foreign languages, those would be at the moment Japanese, Mandarin and/or Japanese. If I do no do that, I try practice writing the characters used in Mandarin and Japanese everyday. Sometimes I write these characters 5 minutes, sometimes 30-40 minutes. I learn the characters by learning the words from the lists of HSK and JLPT.

When I can talk in foreign languages with a person I know I usually do that as much as possible.

These are my studying habits this summer during the university  break.
