Beside in English = next to /by the side/by your side (yanında)

Besides In English = apart from / also/ in addition to etc that general concept. (Dısında)

It is a very common mistake. The word you need is besides.

I am not sure how you use these words in Turkish but they are different in English.

Example:

When you sit next to a person on a bus you sit beside them. Besides you and the other person on the bus, there is the driver of the bus

what two words would you use in Turkish?
