Every time when I spoke with Scottish or Irish people they tried to speak standard English accent because they were experienced language partners. However I have experience speaking with Australians who don't have enough experience speaking with foreigners, and it was really tough. 

For Brazilians English is the second language, so you had experience speaking with a learner.
