Have you learned French by yourself? What method did you study?

I want to learn French by myself, but I don't know how to start.
Tell me your method in case you learned by yourself, please.
Is there any good book ? or APP? or website?

I have had such an experience. I started with YouTube lessons. In Russia we have popular chanel where you can learn many languages for 16 lessons. Of course not in advance level but it is very helpfull for people who begin to learn by themself. Then of course I found a teacher but it was very good basic knowledges. So I can recommended to start with YouTube lessons.

I tried several methods and I could learn a bit
But when I got to the grammar(((14 tenses)))) part, it became hard and complicated

I learned with the Assimil method. I strongly recommend it. I obtained a B2 level in just 6 months.

In my opinion there are many methods to improve a language. You can start by improving your grammar, watching tv programs, listening to the radio channels online, reading books and magazines. Youtube lessons can help you either. But also you can have discussions with french people in this website for exemple.

I would recommend watching French cartoons. You can hear a lot of everyday expressions there. The best cartoon is Le Petit Nicolas or Troto.
