Which skill do you choose when you begin learning English?
I have been learning English for 15 years. When I was in high school, I studied English using reading and listening skills. That's why those 2 skills of mine are better than the other skills. Although my marks are not so bad, but my speaking skill is opposite. I think the reason is because I rarely studied it, and in daily life I didnt have many chances to talk with foreigners.
My target in learning English is conversation fluently.
And I think learning English from reading and listening skill is incorrect.
So what about you?
Which skill do you choose when you start to learn E? Reading, listening, writting or speaking?

as for the main topic, don't just throw listening and reading away as it is the base you start learning any language with. If you feel like speaking your target language, it simply means that it's time to do it! Enhance your vocabulary, improve your grammar by listening and reading every day and go ahead: find a teacher or a language partner to practice.

You have through the years built a foundation of english through studying it in school. Now you should build on that through conversational English. Try to take English lessons to improve your skills.

For the last few years, I’ve studied E by doing many grammar exercises rather than listening. I was afraid of speaking out loud and talking with foreigners. I realize that those were my mistakes and now I'm trying to change the way of learning E. I’ve made friend with many people in italki and chat with them everyday. I’ve also written more topics to discuss. I think i have to face my fear of speaking E.

It is all a matter of how you learn a language on a daily basis. When you read - read it out loud. When you learn vocabulary - do it too. Your brain learns better when you use your muscles. Learn the whole sentences and collocations - it helps when you have to speak . And of course find any opportunity to speak to other people.
