We start learning Ancient Greek at the age of 13. Children cannot read or understand Ancient Greek. Modern Greek based in Ancient Greek but they are different languages.

<div>The Greek language has been one and unchanged from ancient times until now.</div><div>It has not been devided into other related languages such as Latin, from wich Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc. originated.</div><div>
</div><div>Modern Greek interacts with Ancient Greek. We can take words from an ancient greek text and use them through daily life greek conversations. So, this can't be done with Italian and Latin, because they are two different languages, but Ancient and Modern Greek are two forms of the same language and not a different language.</div><div>
</div><div>Each verse of Homer contains at least one word that is used nowadays with the same exact meaning, wich shows that Greek is a diachronic language through the centuries. </div><div>
